Research Design and Protocol Committee

The Research Design and Protocol Committee oversees the creation of the consortium master protocol and establishes policy and procedures for the research.

Primary Functions

The Research Design and Protocol Committee activities include:

  • Developing the committee charter
  • Overseeing the creation of the consortium master protocol
  • Establishing policies and procedures
  • Drafting operations manuals
  • Managing enrollment
  • Reviewing additional study concepts or sub-analysis
  • Making recommendations to the Steering Committee (SC) for progressing concepts to development
  • Facilitating recommendations from the biorepository committee
  • Tracking protocol/sub-analysis progress
  • Participating in the annual review process
