Primary Functions
- Receive, review, prioritize and approve or provide feedback on all proposals that are submitted for GBPDC group-wide authored abstracts, position papers and letters and editorials and all proposals that report the GBPDC mission and goals, describe the GBPDC Master Protocol, or leverage the data, with or without biospecimens, collected under the GBPDC Master Protocol.
- Maintain an inventory of all publications and presentations that emanate from the GBPDC as described above or arise from individual GNRC Specific Aims.
- Establish a publications policy and processes to promote collaborative, expeditious research, outline methods for proposing analyses, ensure overlap in individual proposals is addressed and resolved, define authorship requirements, and facilitate publication preparation with clear decision making and conflict-resolution pathways
- Present publications proposals to the Steering Committee for final approval
- Monitor Congresses and Journals for new ideas for publications from the Consortium and suggest opportunities for dissemination of GBPDC program activities
- Review publication progress using a tracking sheet or dashboard
- Review ancillary study concepts, data requirements, and biorepository needs
- Report to Steering Committee on publications productivity of the consortium
